go and dye already...

I'm on a roll here! a blogging drought and now so many ideas at once!
Thought i'd mention something very close to my heart right now and that i haven't blogged about before -hair.

I'm not a huge hair guru or an amazing self - hair styler, i generally just leave it 'til last and most of the time leave it how i woke up (only coz i have thin hair making messy nots look more dishevelled rather than thick clumps of fur), and if i do my face quickly then i'll do a cool style and a bit-o product in there, nothin spesh.

Well now I have cottoned-on to a new trend swimming around of flashes of colour, the next step from the ever-popular balayage (which i tried of course), not the all out full head of colour (although i know a girl who did a subtle candy cane kinda look to her bob and my it looks delish!), but just a hint here and there, a little on the ends or a streak through the mane.
It all started with Lady Gaga in her meat dress, I thought her hair looked lovely and soft in contrast to her attire. Then when we got dip-dyed hair extensions in at work i thought i'd take advantage of a cheap thrill and now i have all 6 different colours....
Which then inspired me to dip dye my hair baby pink copying one of the extensions.

But then I saw this trend grow and grow and spread like the common cold to magazine fashion shoots, celebrities and runway shows:
This one's my favourite, good on ya Ab's

 Barely there, but miss play-it-safe Lauren has brought a more realistic approach to this trend

 Maybe not so much this 'granny got a hold of the crazy colour hair spray again' look

 I think Kate has done the best job, not being afraid to do the mermaid blue balayage.

Very My Little Pony, i swear i had one called Sparkle Dust that looked just like this....

 Nicki Minaj taking it a little too seriously...but love her songs to bits though....

 Katy's got her finger on the pulse, in here twice!
And for something a little more safe....
enjoy!

pushing the buttons

Just had to add these snippets of button pusher decorations.... hhhmmmm which one to do next?

The fun has come back into nail grooming...
Oh, and these gorgeous colours from Chanel would make any pointer look smart and high-tech and all...

oo lala!

Copy that, copy cat!

Howdy! okay so when i first begun my blog it was to write about things that i purchased or desired to purchase and was frothing at the mouth over, and now my shopping drought is over i can rejoice and continue to bring you exactly what i get so excited about every freekin day.....
 things!

In the past two weeks a have managed to acquire 9 new bags from my place of work which i shall bring to you in another blog (thought i'd give a break in between bag blogs), most  of the items on my wish list from my sportsgirl summer launch roadshow, and have experimented with a new nail design thanks to topshop's runway show.

This was the inspiration, a very Egyptian feeling show
My version! found this great little nail art polish from BYS, has a small brush so you can do intricate designs on ye digits like these, why do perfect nails make me feel so warm and fuzzy?

These two picks also from the Topshop show, the armband is an awesome new way for a statement piece of jewellery, if i saw that in a shop tomorrow i'd buy out right.
Then these fabulous sandals, the platform look is heaps popular at the moment which is great for the height yet staying comfy, the tortoise shell and gold layering is very mimco-ee me thinks.
Did someone say comfy shoes? these would be a God-send for work, athletic on the bottom, stylish on the top....sorta like a mullet...business at the front, party at the back.
To me, accessories are essential, no matter what body image issue you're having, a bag or a gorgeous pair of shoes don't judge, they always look good.
Love the plastic snap lock on this clutch, gives it a casual look but team it with an LBD and it's trend-to-the-E! (and i bags the powder blue heels in the background).
This is the whole look i am going to steal and copy this season, the slicked back hair, natural make-up with the fluorescent orange lip, the orange and pink combo that screams out-there, yet is put in the naughty corner to think about what it's done by the structured tayloring and smart full-buttoned shirt. As Rachel Zoe would say, i die!

Bags this!

I will open this blog by saying I am a closet bag lady (bit of a pun as I do keep them all in my closet!).
Yes I know, shock horror, but I have a soft spot for bags, as I do with everything...
I think every girl loves bags, they may not have alot, they may just have one, but I bet they love it. Firstly because it's like your old blankie you had as a kid that was your safety net, our handbags are our  grown-up safety net as they have all the things we love/treasure and need right under our arm.

Now, I believe there can be different types of bag lovers;

 there's the investment buyer- she puts half a years' pay packet into one (or maybe a few) good quality, usually leather bag;

 there's the love it-need it-want it-right now buyer who takes it wherever she goes for a month then tosses it in the back of her closet never to see the light of day again and moves onto the next hot style;

 there's the destroyer who dirties every bag she owns, straps broken, zips broken, sand and skittles at the bottom of the bag (not too specific!) and will continue to use it until it no longer can fulfill it's duty as a carrier of items;

Lastly, there is the collector, who treasures and loves every bag she has and keeps them in a neat and tidy safe place, some stuffed with paper, and uses all the bags equally like they have feelings...

Now there is also an exception for these types of 'baggers', you can be multiple types, I, for example, am all four.
I have investment bags, I have bags I froth at the mouth over then get sick of, I destroy my beloved everyday handbag, and I also like to rotate my uses of my multiple bags (usually because I forget I have them and fall back in love with 'em).
Altogther I have approximately 48 bags...and counting...varying from large handbags/wallets/clutches/slings and coin purses, my count does not include my little shopping 'free with purchase' bags.

To start off, I will show you my latest love, my Collette clutch, yes, I quite like some of the bags they have, I nearly got two colours and two more styles.....but I was good....
I like orange muchly....
A previous champion bag/giant clutch a got from Collette was this lovely lady:
I got this to match some pretty shoes from Nine West
Some of my gorgeous block coloured clutches...soon to be joined by a hot pink one I have my eye on at work
A few Op shop finds, the bottom one I added the bird as there was an unfixable mark
Glo-mesh and beads make me happy
wallets/coin purses, 4 of these i haven't used yet...
My beloved Mimco...i have used this bag every day since i bought it nearly 2 years ago (mainly because I had to convince mum it's cost per wear due to it's expensive nature...I'm proving a point! and yes I have discovered skittles in this bag multiple times)
Aaaaand the other investment bag, only though this one will hardly be used...maybe out to dinners or something...it's too precious! But she's beautiful.
